Disc Phonograph: Pathé Salon No.5
Pathé, France, 1906
The Pathé brothers of France established their phonograph company in the 1890s. This unit features a beautiful crystal nameplate on the front, and exudes a continental atmosphere. Instead of a paper label, the disc is inscribed with yellow-painted etched characters, and is of the center-starting type, playing from the center outward to the periphery.
