Automata “Pierrot and Chair”

Manufactured by the Swiss Michelle Bertran Company in 1986, The Automata is a “karakuri” mechanical doll with a music box embedded inside. The clown raises the chair and does a hand stand to the music. As this technique is linked to the clock technology, many clock craftsmen during this period manufactured such music boxes.
