Min-On Global Music Network

Today, July 30, is “International Friendship Day” established by the United Nations in 2011 and reminds us that forging friendship with people of all walks of life irrespective of their countries and culture supports the promoting of world peace.

The pieces we’d like to share with you today are “KOHAKU NO MICHI” and “Spain”, arranged by well-known Japanese SHAKUHACHI (Japanese Bamboo Flute) player “Dozan Fujiwara”.

This was performed at the concert of the Min-On Global Music Network series in Yogyakarta, Indonesia in 2018, to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Indonesia and Japan.

【Min-On Music Museum Collection】
The Anton Walter piano is also recognized as a cultural asset and is the same type as the one Mozart owned.

Some twenty “Anton Walter” pianos of this style still exist in the world today, and only a few of them are playable.

“Anton Walter” (1795, in Vienna, Austria)
For details, please search for “Min-on Anton Walter” on the Internet.

We hope you will enjoy the original sound of the “Anton Walter” fortepiano as it was heard two-hundred years ago in Mozart’s time.

We look forward to welcoming you to our museum.

Tours of the museum have been resumed since July 7, 2020. Please make reservations in advance.
