On March 14, His Excellency Mukhsinkhuja Abdurakhmonov, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Uzbekistan to Japan, called on the Min-On Concert Association. He was welcomed by Min-On President Koji Yamaguchi, Vice President Yasuharu Ito, Executive Managing Director Hideshiro Akiya, Managing Director Kiyoshi Komatsu and Advisor Kazuto Ito.
In their meeting, Ambassador Abdurakhmonov thanked Min-On for organizing a special concert event honoring Uzbekistan’s Navruz, a popular celebration of the spring equinox in central Asia, in 2023. He cited the power of culture to bring people together, transcending differences between countries, religion and language, and expressed his hope of partnering with Min-On on exchange programs in the future.
Following their talk, the Uzbekistan ambassador presented Min-On with a painting as a symbol of his country’s friendship with the association.
