On February 2, 2023, His Excellency Mukhsinkhuja Abdurakhmonov, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Uzbekistan to Japan, paid a courtesy call on the Min-On Concert Association. He was greeted by Min-On President Kazuto Ito, Executive Managing Director Hideo Murata and Managing Director Hideshiro Akiya.
In their meeting, Ambassador Abdurakhmonov expressed agreement with Min-On founder Daisaku Ikeda, who founded the association with the aim of transcending division and conflict through cultural exchange on a person-to-person basis. The ambassador also thanked Min-On for organizing a special concert that paid tribute to the music and culture of Uzbekistan, an event held in Tokyo on April 23, 2022 through the cooperation of the Uzbek Embassy.
Following their discussion, Ambassador Abdurakhmonov toured the Min-On Music Museum to view its collection of classical pianos and music boxes.
