From May 12 to 24, 2026, Italian vocal group The Super 4 completed an eight-performance Japan tour spanning cities across western Japan.
The Super 4 consists of four singers, all of whom hail from Naples, the historic heartland of the Italian canzone tradition. Each member had already established a distinguished career as a solo performer before coming together as a group. Dedicated to sharing the appeal of Italian music with international audiences, the group also gained global recognition through its appearance on the Romanian edition of the television talent competition The X Factor, where its powerful vocals drew widespread acclaim.
Onstage, the group moved across genres with ease — from Neapolitan folk classics such as ‘O Sole Mio to original compositions and global standards including Frank Sinatra’s My Way — earning sustained applause and cheers throughout. The tour’s most memorable moment came during encores, when the group performed Mata Au Hi Made by Japanese pop legend Kiyohiko Ozaki, sung entirely in Japanese. The audience rose to its feet in a standing ovation, bringing each night to an emotional close.
Audience reactions spoke to the concert’s impact. One attendee shared that the performance had lifted them out of a difficult stretch, giving them the energy to keep going. Others praised the group’s harmonies as captivating from the very first note, and several remarked on the rare quality of voices that conveyed both power and tenderness — connecting even across the language barrier.
The tour concluded with the final performance in Okayama on May 24. Afterward, Aurelio Fierro Jr. spoke on behalf of the group, reflecting that while they had come to Japan hoping to bring joy and love through their singing, it was the warmth of the audience’s applause and reactions that gave them something immeasurable in return.
The members departed Japan from Haneda Airport on May 25.
