On November 24, His Excellency Rubén Eduardo Miguel Tempone, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Argentine Republic to Japan, visited the Min-On Concert Association.

He was greeted by Min-On President Kazuto Ito and Executive Managing Director Hideshiro Akiya.

Ambassador Tempone opened their meeting with condolatory words for the late-Daisaku Ikeda, who founded Min-On and passed away that month at the age of 95. The ambassador then noted that behind every exchange of cultures lies an untold story, saying that it took the impassioned effort of one young diplomat, more than any other agent, in popularizing the tango among Japanese audiences. The Argentine ambassador expressed his hope that Min-On would continue working with his country to add new chapters in the annals of bilateral cultural exchange to promote friendship and goodwill between their two countries.

Following their meeting, Ambassador Tempone toured the Min-On Music Museum and its collection of classic pianos and music boxes.
