On February 13, 2024, the Argentine tango group Quintet del Ángel invited to Japan by the Min-On Concert Association held two shows—one during the day and the other, in the evening—at Tokyo’s Bunkyo Civic Hall. Attending the evening performance was Pedro Ezequiel Marotta, Chargé d’Affaires ad interim of the Argentine Republic Embassy in Japan; he was joined by ambassadors and embassy officials from 36 other countries and territories.

The show featured the quintet performing with vocalist Vanesa Quiroz and three dance couples led by former tango championship winner Gaspar Godoy. The quintet also performed “Un Ángel el Japón” (tentatively translated as “Beloved Japan of my father Angel”), a song co-composed by leader Humberto Ridolfi in memory of his father, Angel, and honors the late Min-On founder, Daisaku Ikeda.
