On June 20, His Excellency Dr. Durga Bahadur Subedi, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Nepal to Japan, paid a courtesy call on the Min-On Concert Association. He was greeted by Min-On President Kazuto Ito, Executive Managing Director Hideshiro Akiya and Managing Director Kiyoshi Komatsu.
In their meeting, Ambassador Subedi recalled how much he had appreciated Min-On founder Daisaku Ikeda’s acceptance speech for his honorary doctorate of letters delivered at Nepal’s Tribhuvan University in 1995. The ambassador said he looked forward to forging stronger bonds of friendship between the people of his country and Japan by partnering with Min-On on further cultural exchange initiatives.
Following their talk, Ambassador Subedi toured the Min-On Music Museum and its collection, including sitting in a performance on one of its classical pianos.
