At the invitation of the Min-On Concert Association, the MozART Group from Poland performed at ten venues throughout Japan from November 22 to December 4, 2024. The string quartet’s premiere concert tour of the country opened at the Nobeoka Cultural Center in Miyazaki prefecture, performing scores from various genres including classical music to modern pop and rock.
MozART Group is comprised of Filip Jaślar, Michal Sikorski, Pawel Kowaluk and Boleslaw Blaszczyk. They concluded their nationwide tour at the Hirashin Hiratsuka Culture and Arts Hall in Kanagawa prefecture on December 4, to return to Poland on the following day.
Also on December 4, the quartet called on the Min-On Culture Center in Tokyo. They also toured the Min-On Music Museum’s collection music boxes and classic pianos, of which several are known to have historical ties with Mozart and Chopin. Quartet celloist Boleslaw Blaszczyk expressed his appreciation to the warm reception they received in Japan and to the resounding success of their first-ever tour of Japan.
