On June 28, an East University delegation from the Philippines led by Dean Betty Factora Merritt, Dean of Nursing at the institution’s Ramon Magsaysay Medical Center, and Associate Professor Janelle Pengson Castro visited the Min-On Concert Association in Tokyo.
They were welcomed by Min-On President Koji Yamaguchi.
Yamaguchi accompanied the visitors from the Philippines on a tour of the Min-On facility while discussing the value of broadly based cultural initiatives and the poetry of Min-On founder Daisaku Ikeda, who passed away in 2023.
Dean Merritt also sang a song in way of expressing her gratitude to her hosts.
