On July 4, Her Excellency Sandy Anabell Davila Sandoval, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Nicaragua to Japan, called on the Min-On Concert Association in Tokyo. She was welcomed by Min-On President Kazuto Ito, Executive Managing Director Hideshiro Akiya and Managing Director Kiyoshi Komatsu.

In their meeting, Ambassador Davila explained that because Nicaraguans had endured strife and war from within and from without, they realize how difficult it is to live in peace, and for that very reason, their yearning for peace is made that much stronger. She went on to point out the importance of music in bringing the hearts of people closer together in a world riddled with problems, which is why she will be cooperating with Min-On to work on bilateral cultural exchange initiatives.

Following their talk, the ambassador toured the Min-On Music Museum and took in performances on a classic piano and music box.
