On January 19, 2023, His Excellency Miguel Ángel RAMÍREZ Ramos, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Cuba to Japan, and his wife called on the Min-On Concert Association. They were greeted by Min-On President Kazuto Ito, Executive Managing Director Hideo Murata and Managing Director Hideshiro Akiya.
In their talk, Ambassador RAMÍREZ stated that since 2023 marked the 125th anniversary of the first Japanese immigrants to Cuba, he looked to partner with Min-On in holding a commemorative event honoring the occasion.
Following their discussion, the Cuban ambassador and his wife toured the Min-On Music Museum’s collection of classical pianos and music boxes.
