On February 18, 2025, His Excellency Gustavo Makanaky, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Colombia to Japan, together with Colombian Embassy Deputy Head of Mission José Francisco Díaz Ulloa and Third Secretary Pablo Emilio Cardona Serna, visited the Min-On Concert Association.
They were welcomed by Min-On President Koji Yamaguchi, Vice President Yasuharu Ito and Executive Managing Director Hideshiro Akiya.
Ambassador Makanaky expressed his delight that Min-On has been engaged in cultural exchange projects with Colombian artists over the years, including inviting joropo festive dance music group Cimarrón to tour Japan in 2024.
