On March 25, 2026, members of the Lithuanian Chamber Orchestra visited the Min-On Culture Center while in Japan to performat the Spring Festival in Tokyo. During their visit, the ensemble held a rehearsal at the Museum Hall.
The Lithuanian National Philharmonic Society, to which the orchestra belongs, is scheduled to present a commemorative concert in Lithuania in April 11, 2026, featuring Cornilios Michailidis of Greece, the First Prize winner of the Tokyo International Conducting Competition 2024 organized by Min-On.
During a break in rehearsals, a memorandum of understanding was signed concerning the next edition of the competition, to be held in 2027. The signing ceremony was attended by the orchestra’s concert manager, Mr. Danas Skramtai.
Following their arrival, the visiting members also toured the Min-On Music Museum, where they enjoyed a performance on one of the museum’s classical pianos.
