In April 2024, the South Korean quarter La Speranza concluded their 11-venue tour of Japan at the invitation of the Min-On Concert Association.

La Speranza debuted in 2005 as a “popera” group that mixes pops and opera, rising to prominence in their country for its “classical crossover sound” and genre-transcending music.

On April 10, La Speranza visited the Min-On Concert Association head office in Tokyo, where quartet leader Hwang Yaeseung spoke of his resolve of building bonds of friendship through music.

On April 12, the group opened their Japan tour at a cultural center in Edogawa ward, Tokyo, where the audience joyously responded to renditions of theme songs from popular Korean television shows such as “From the Beginning Until Now” and “Let No One Sleep.”

On April 27, at the Tagawa Cultural Center in Fukuoka prefecture, a performance that not only featured La Speranza’s unique blend of music but also an onstage talk show laced with humor in Japanese.

The Tagawa venue was the La Speranza Japan Tour 2024 finale and the quartet returned to South Korea on April 28.
