On January 25, 2023, His Excellency César Augusto Montaño Huerta, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Ecuador to Japan, visited the Min-On Culture Center, where the Min-On Concert Association is headquartered. He was greeted by Min-On President Kazuto Ito and Managing Director Hideshiro Akiya.
In their meeting, Ambassador Montaño, pointing to the strong diplomatic bonds between his nation and Japan, said a similar emphasis should be assigned to bilateral cultural exchange to strengthen friendship among the Ecuadorian and Japanese people. He expressed a strong desire to partner with Min-On in the effort to promote music and culture in the two countries, citing the Min-On Music Journey’s segment on Ecuador as a noteworthy example.
Later, the Ecuadorian ambassador toured the Min-On Music Museum’s collection of classical pianos and music boxes.
