On July 17, 2026, Ms. Keisha Kal Witter, Chargé d’Affaires a.i. of the Embassy of Jamaica in Japan, visited the Min-On Cultural Center, accompanied by Mr. Alexander Dixon, First Secretary and Consul. They were welcomed by Min-On President Koji Yamaguchi.

During the meeting, Ms. Witter spoke about Jamaica’s multicultural society, where people of diverse backgrounds live together with a strong emphasis on mutual respect and appreciation. She also expressed her appreciation for Min-On’s philosophy and longstanding activities, noting that they share the common belief that music and culture have the power to connect people’s hearts. Under this shared vision, she expressed her hope to further promote cultural exchange between Jamaica and Japan through continued cooperation with Min-On.

Following the meeting, Ms. Witter and Mr. Dixon toured the World Musical Instruments for Children Exhibition and the Classical Piano Room at the Min-On Music Museum.
