On June 1, Prof. Dr. Abdelaziz Berghout, director of the International Institute of Islamic Thought and Civilization (ISTAC) and research arm of the International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM), and ISTAC’s Asst. Prof. Dr. Nurui Ain Norman called on the Min-On Concert Association in Tokyo. They were met and welcomed by Min-On President Koji Yamaguchi.
In their meeting, Director Berghout expressed agreement with Min-On founder Daisaku Ikeda’s view that music and culture were vital in building peace and looked forward to Min-On’s cultural exchange initiatives going forward.
Following their talk, the two ISTAC officials toured the Min-On Music Museum’s collection of classic pianos and music boxes.
