On January 29, 2026, H.E. Mr. Gilberto Jerónimo, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Portugal to Japan, visited the Min-On Culture Center, where he was welcomed by Min-On President Koji Yamaguchi and other senior representatives of the association.
During the meeting, Ambassador Jerónimo referred to the nearly 500-year history of exchange between Japan and Portugal and emphasized his desire to further deepen friendly relations by promoting musical and cultural initiatives in cooperation with Min-On.
Following the discussion, he toured the Min-On Music Museum’s Classical Piano Room and the gallery of traditional musical instruments.
