On June 18, 2025, Her Excellency Mrs. Sussi Jiménez Núñez, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Costa Rica to Japan, visited the Min-On Culture Center. She toured the Classic Piano Room and the Automatic Instrument Room of the Min-On Music Museum.
Before the tour, Ambassador Jiménez Núñez met with Min-On President Koji Yamaguchi, Vice President Yasuharu Ito, Executive Managing Director Hideshiro Akiya and Managing Director Kiyoshi Komatsu.
Expressing her deep appreciation for the late Min-On founder Daisaku Ikeda’s philosophy of peace, the ambassador emphasized the importance of fostering mutual understanding and empathy through cultural and artistic exchange.
She also noted that 2025 marks the 90th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Japan and Costa Rica, and expressed her hope to continue strengthening bilateral friendship through collaboration with the Min-On Concert Association.
