On September 19, Her Excellency Phongsamouth Anlavan, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Lao People’s Democratic Republic to Japan, paid a courtesy call on the Min-On Concert Association, with President Kazuto Ito, Executive Managing Director Hideshiro Akiya and Managing Director Kiyoshi Komatsu on hand to welcome her.
In their meeting, Ambassador Phongsamouth said she looked to working with Min-On in order to introduce the culture and performing arts of Laos to Japanese audiences, thereby strengthening bilateral ties of friendship. The Laotian ambassador later toured the Min-On Music Museum’s collection of music boxes and classic pianos, taking in a short performance by a Min-On staffer.
