On August 17, 2023, His Excellency Teimuraz Lezhava, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Georgia to Japan, called on the Min-On Concert Association. He was welcomed by Min-On President Kazuto Ito, Executive Managing Director Hideshiro Akiya and Managing Director Kiyoshi Komatsu.
In their talk, Ambassador Lezhava pointed to the Japan tour of the Georgian National Dance & Song Ensemble “Rustavi” in 2018 at the invitation of Min-On, saying that it proved fruitful in introducing Japanese audiences to the rich history and myriad ways of life of his country. The ambassador added that he looked forward to partnering with Min-On to promote bilateral cultural exchange and mutual understanding.
Following their discussion, Ambassador Lezhava toured the Min-On Music Museum’s collection of classical pianos and other rare musical instruments.
