On March 16, 2023, six members of The National Center for Korean Traditional Performing Arts paid a courtesy call on the Min-On Concert Association. They were greeted by Min-On President Kazuto Ito and Managing Director Hideshiro Akiya.
The six were Yun Soon-ho and Chaewon Kim, director and deputy director of the Center’s performance division, respectively; Lee Jihye, gayageum plucked zither artist; Lim Kyusoo, piri double reed instrument player; percussionist Kim Taejoung; and vocalist Chae Suhyun. They and their fellow Center performers were in Japan to play at a Korea-Japan youth concert held at the Hanmadang Hall of the Korean Culture Center in Shinjuku, Tokyo.
Following their discussion with President Ito, the Korean performers took a guided tour of the Min-On Music Museum and its collection of classical pianos and music boxes.
