On December 9, Her Excellency Blanka Jamnišek, Ambassador of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Slovenia, visited the Min-On Concert Association at the Min-On Culture Center in Shinjuku, Tokyo. She was welcomed by Min-On’s Executive Managing Director Hideo Murata and Managing Director Hideshiro Akiya.
Ambassador Jamnišek founded the “Our Rights” project of Slovenia that, according to her curriculum vitae, has been adopted for over 250,000 children worldwide in 26 countries and in 23 languages to date. Given her work on the project, Ambassador Jamnišek asked about such Min-On outreach activities as its free school concerts and Tohoku Hope Concert organized in support of survivors of the 2011 megaquake and tsunami. She also reaffirmed to strive further in advancing human rights education and cultural exchange.
Ambassador Jamnišek then toured the newly renovated Min-On Music Museum to listen to its collection of antique pianos and music boxes.
