On July 7, Kornilios Michailidis of Greece, Riley Court-Wood of the UK and Ayano Yoshizaki of Japan paid a courtesy call on the Min-On Concert Association in Tokyo. The three – prizewinners of the Tokyo International Conducting Competition 2024 – were welcomed by Min-On President Koji Yamaguchi, Vice President Yasuharu Ito, Executive Managing Director Hideshiro Akiya and Managing Director Kiyoshi Komatsu. Min-On has organized the competition since 1967.
The conductors performed in the Prize Winners Debut Concert with the NHK Symphony Orchestra on July 10. At the meeting, they shared their aspirations and musical activities going forward, expressing gratitude for the opportunity to further pursue a career as conductors.
