The Min-On Music Museum hosted a cultural lecture titled “The Power of Music” at the Min-On Culture Center Museum Hall on Wednesday, June 5 at 6:30 PM.
This lecture was delivered by Jeff Miyahara, an active music producer. Mr. Miyahara works with world-class artists from Japan and around the globe, using his experiences to illustrate the power and appeal of music. As he related personal anecdotes regarding how music brought him an identity, friendship and the strength to overcome suffering, the entire audience was deeply moved by his conviction to “encourage as many people as possible through music.”
Jeff Miyahara is also involved in supporting the education of the next generation of talent. The string ensemble Melody Strings, composed of boys and girls who attend a school he established in Singapore, gave a splendid performance during this event under the direction of arranger Keiichi Kurokawa.
