A Min-On Concert Association delegation visited the Republic of Côte d’Ivoire in West Africa from Wednesday, May 7 to Saturday, May 10, 2025.
On May 8, the delegation visited Institut National Supérieur des Arts et de l’Action Culturelle (INSAAC) and Centre National des Arts et de la Culture (CNAC), where they held discussions with local leaders on future opportunities for cultural exchange. They also visited a public elementary school where the Japanese Embassy supported the expansion of facilities through the Grant Assistance for Grassroots Human Security Projects. There, the delegation engaged in discussions with the students and faculty.
On the following day, May 9, Min-On and the H.E. Françoise Remarck, Ministry of Culture and Francophonie signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to promote cultural exchange. Prior to the signing of the MOU, a lively exchange of views and productive discussions on concrete ways to engage in cultural exchange was held.
Minister Remarck warmly welcomed the delegation’s visit and the signing of the MOU as an important step forward towards future undertakings. She called on cultural institutions and partners to give their full support to the initiative for its future success.
The signing of the memorandum was witnessed by H.E. Mr. Junji KOMAKUBO, Ambassador of Japan to Côte d’Ivoire, and Ms. Satoko KATO, First Secretary at the Embassy of Japan.
