On March 14, members of three delegations and embassy officials from the People’s Republic of China paid a courtesy call on the Min-On Concert Association. They were: Vice President Yuan Mindao of the Chinese People’s Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries; China-Japan Friendship Association Deputy Secretary-General Zhang Xiao Ping; Department of Economic Exchange of Chinese and Japanese Director Wang Lei; and Third Secretary Dong Dandan of the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in Japan.
The representatives were welcomed by Min-On President Koji Yamaguchi, Executive Managing Directors Hideshiro Akiya and Masahiro Hosoi, Managing Director Kiyoshi Komatsu and Advisor Kazuto Ito.
In their meeting, Vice President Yuan affirmed the value of cultural exchange in establishing heart-to-heart understanding among different peoples and expressed his resolve to bettering ties between China and Japan.
Following the meeting, the Chinese group toured the Min-On Music Museum’s collection of classical pianos and music boxes.
