On February 22, 2024, Chargé d’Affaires ad interim Ali Mohamed Ahmed Osman Mohamed of the Republic of the Sudan Embassy in Japan paid a courtesy call on the Min-On Concert Association. He was welcomed by Min-On President Koji Yamaguchi, Vice President Yasuharu Ito, Executive Managing Director Hideshiro Akiya, Managing Director Kiyoshi Komatsu and Adviser Kazuto Ito.
In their talk, Chargé d’Affaires ad interim Mohamed shared his belief in the capacity of music, culture and the arts to bring people together, which was why cultural exchange plays a vital role in the building peace worldwide. He also expressed his gratitude to Min-On for introducing Sudanese culture through its Min-On Music Journey series that showcase the selected country’s natural and cultural wonders. He said he looked to working with Min-On going forward on various initiatives to further promote Sudan-Japan goodwill and friendship.
