The Min-On Concert Association extends our warmest season’s greetings and very best wishes for the New Year.

Commemorating its 60th anniversary in 2023 and with the covid pandemic expected to wind down in 2024, Min-On has restarted in earnest cultural exchange concerts, inviting artists from around the world to Japan. Musicians from Argentina, Bolivia, Finland, India, Sweden, Thailand, US and Ukraine toured our country, delighting Japanese audiences nationwide.

In addition to organizing concerts for performing artists from both abroad and Japan in 2024, our association will be engaging in a series of public-service initiatives. First among them is The Tokyo International Conducting Competition, which was launched in 1967 and the 20th to be organized overall; this will be followed by such events as the World Summit on Music in Peacebuilding held by the Min-On Music Research Institute, which will be feting its tenth anniversary. Overseas tours of Japanese performers will also be organized.

Min-On’s goal is to continue promoting cultural exchange through the performing arts that will move and inspire our concertgoers around the world.

Thanking you in advance for your support and patronage in 2024, we pray that you may enjoy the best of health and happiness.
