On November 2, His Excellency Manuel Estuardo Roldan Barillas, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Guatemala to Japan, called on the Min-On Concert Association. He was greeted by Min-On President Kazuto Ito, Executive Managing Director Hideshiro Akiya and Managing Director Kiyoshi Komatsu.
In their meeting, Ambassador Roldan shared his belief that the exchange of music culture was the only way to deepen mutual understanding among people worldwide. He also noted that 2025 being the 80th anniversary of the atomic bombing of Hiroshima and Nagasaki, he looked to work even more closely with Min-On in promoting cultural exchanges with his country with the hope of promoting peace.
Following their discussion, the Guatemalan ambassador toured the Min-On Music Museum’s collection of classic pianos and music boxes.
