On January 24, 2023, His Excellency Abdul Kareem Toma Mehdi Kaab, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Iraq to Japan, paid a courtesy call on the Min-On Concert Association. He was greeted by Min-On President Kazuto Ito and Executive Managing Director Hideo Murata.
In their meeting, Ambassador Kaab shared the history and rich culture of Iraq with his hosts, saying that he was genuinely impressed by Min-On’s initiatives to bring people together through the power of music. Noting his country’s tragic experience of strife and war, the Iraqi envoy expressed his hope of working with Min-On to promote the building of peace through cultural exchange projects.
Following their discussion, Ambassador Kaab was given a guided tour of the Min-On Music Museum and its collection of classical pianos and music boxes.
