The country has a rich musical heritage deeply intertwined with people’s everyday lives, from seasonal festivals and agricultural work to weddings. 🌾💍🎵
Traditional Belarusian instruments include the duda (bagpipe), zhaleika (wind instrument), hudok (bowed string instrument) and tsymbaly (hammered string instrument). 🎻🎶
Over the course of its history, Belarus also developed traditions of church music and urban musical culture. Our journey introduces musicians recommended by the Embassy of the Republic of Belarus in Japan, including Pesniary, Leprikonsy, Kupalinka, Verasy, IOWA and more. 🎤🎼✨
