【MIN-ON Interview Series】 “The Language of Music Is Universal” — Interview with H.E. Louis Harold Joseph, Ambassador of Haiti to Japan ◆ Read the full interview: https://www.min-on.org/19232/ We’re pleased to share interview highlights with H.E. Louis Harold Joseph, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Haiti to Japan. Following the lecture concert “Poem and Rhythm from Haiti,” held in Tokyo on May 31, 2026, Ambassador Joseph spoke with us about the rich diversity of Haitian culture, his hopes for strengthening ties between Haiti and Japan, and the important role of music and cultural exchange in bringing people together. Reflecting on the collaboration between Haitian musicians and Japanese pianist Mao Sone, Ambassador Joseph shares his belief that “the language of music is universal.” He also speaks about Haiti’s African, French and Caribbean cultural influences, and his hopes for creating more opportunities for people in Japan to discover the music and culture of Haiti and the wider Caribbean. ◆ Concert News: https://www.min-on.org/18876/ ----------- ◆ Min-On Concert Association Website https://www.min-on.org/ Instagram https://www.instagram.com/minon.global.music.network/ Facebook https://www.facebook.com/minon.global.music.network/ #MinOn #Interview #Haiti #HaitianCulture #HaitianMusic #Caribbean #CulturalExchange #JapanHaiti
