The event accompanied a special exhibition entitled <em>Recalling Nostalgic Melodies of Japanese Shoka Songs<\/em> held at the music museum during the first quarter of this year.<\/p>\n<p>The name <em>Ca et La<\/em> means \u2018here and there\u2019 in French and alludes to the fact that both Yuriko Kikuchi (vocals) and Tomoko Takahashi (piano and vocals) have assembled a repertoire of songs in different genres from \u2018here and there\u2019, such as <em>doyou<\/em>\u2014children\u2019s songs, <em>minyo<\/em>\u2014folk songs, and <em>kayokyoku<\/em>\u2014popular songs.
