China Central Song and Dance Ensemble of Nationalities tours Japan (Tour commemorates the 20th anniversary of the conclusion of the Japan-China Friendship Treaty).

First installment of A Musical Voyage across Africa (Ethiopia National Folk Music and Dance Troupe) series held.
2000
September
Min-On dispatches young musicians to the concerts by the Princess Christina Concours Foundation, the Netherlands (Concerts commemorate 400 years of friendship between the Netherlands and Japan).
2001
January
Min-On Culture Center welcome 500,000 visitors since its opening.
2002
October
First Min-On Symposium "Asia Now" held.
2003
November
Min-On received the Order of Cultural Merit from the Polish Ministry of Culture.
December
Min-On Music Library renamed Min-On Music Museum following an official designation as a music museum by the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Board of Education.
2004
May
Min-On Music Museum opened.
2008
October
Min-On celebrated the 45th anniversary of its establishment.
